Never tried songwriting. Prose, poetry and tunes but not songs. Perhaps because I'm not a good singer and my tunes are more dance tunes than song tunes.
Interesting.. but I've often co-written and if that works it's because everyone is playing to their strengths. If you have the tunes and find a singer who likes them, you're 90% there :)
