Horizontal lips set
Neutral commuter pose
Jolly bobble hat's
Light gold stripes
His public concession
To hidden warmth
Perhaps a passion
Or two, donned
Only on exit
He stares nowhere
His mind unguessable
Quality of cloth
The unmissable indicator
Of office eminence
Now at the top, or near
His steady rise permits
This sole eccentric flag
He's not like them, entirely
A genius in the city
Department within division
But without he's dad
No armour, plots or guile
Dad jokes, no mention
No office hyper-tension
